Last week’s highlights came at the expense of a very concerned CEO of a dinosaur company and one of the most shorted stocks listed on Nasdaq.

In both cases, a memecoin was the culprit. Scroll to the end to find out exactly what kind of tomfoolery transpired.

Given the massive move in August for BTC, many people had concerns going into September, as it’s historically the worst month for Bitcoin.

So far, though, all is quiet on the western front, with most majors remaining stagnant. The exception being ZEC, which has quietly breached the previous local top it set last November, poking above $1,200 per coin.

Hold onto that thought, as folks quickly found a way to use this pump to their advantage.

On fomo, the wheel of fortune keeps turning, volume keeps churning, and Robinhood keeps dominating. Last week was truly nuts, with total fomo volume surpassing $2.4 billion, 75% of which came from Robinhood.

The Friday update log remains a staple for us, and last week's list was a big one. From quality-of-life and chart improvements to new features like additional onramps, profile banners, and improved share cards. Dig into the full list here.

After 15 years, Tim Cook has handed off the Apple CEO role to John Ternus, who was the company’s senior vice president of hardware engineering.

It appears that @bshgang knows something we don’t and has opened a $47,100 long position, currently at a healthy 60% profit.

The question is whether this will be a sell-the-news event or whether we can expect AAPL to reach a new ATH.

For those wondering how perps differ from spot trading, we’ve put together a short explainer to get you up to speed on the basics.

Last week, we introduced the Invite feature for Clans, effectively opening the onchain transfer season.

By signing the Ronaldo of trading, @unipcs, Fantom Troupe sits firmly in the No. 1 spot on the all-time leaderboard with a collective PnL of over +$19 million.

@unipcs has played a key role, contributing over $15 million of the total $19 million in collective PnL.

The runner-up Clan, Dabal, demonstrates exceptional teamwork, with the top 5 members generating over $1 million in profits and the rest of the leaderboard contributing considerable amounts as well.

This week’s top trades leaderboard is dominated by ZCAT, the cat-themed memecoin paired with ZEC, with @zeri_terminal, @motiyawerey, and @valueandtime taking the top three spots.

Although @zeri_terminal occupies the No. 1 spot with a MASSIVE +$2 million PnL, the other two wins are nothing to scoff at. The bag stays on.

Naturally, the top trade ranks will flip around as the week progresses. If you wish to stay on track, download fomo and keep your eyes peeled 👀

As we headed into the weekend, the trenches decided to send Solana’s launchpad, STONK, from below $20 million to as high as $180 million, achieving a 9x in two days.

While still impressive, the larger gains were seen with ZCAT, which rapidly became the top coin on STONK launchpad, surging over 19,000% over the past week.

Is this the start of a trend where coins launched on a launchpad outgrow the launchpad token itself? One to watch.

Keep track of the majors in the “most held” section directly inside the fomo app.

This coin’s story began when AMC’s CEO, Adam Aron, publicly criticized Robinhood for listing its stock, calling the practice "contemptible, outrageous, disgusting, detestable, inexcusable, and vile”.

Then, Vlad Tenev, CEO of Robinhood, replied, stating, “What’s the concern?”

After this, a memecoin paired with AMC stock, called MEME, shot up from under $1 million to around $150 million, posting a 150x gain in a single day.

With the help of BONER, a short-squeeze attempt was made on a company that everyone is probably hearing about for the first time: Hims & Hers Health (HIMS)

The second pump occurred after the founder followed the BONER account late Sunday.
